Jaclyn Wetli md, faad
Dr. Jaclyn Wetli, MD, FAAD, is passionate about healthy skin. She enjoys helping patients of all ages, from children and teenagers to adults and seniors, and is passionate about skin cancer prevention and education.
A former competitive figure ice skater, Dr. Wetli is known for her precision and attention to every detail. She chose to specialize in dermatology to promote health and wellness in a very visual field and positively impact patients inside and out.
Dr. Wetli wanted to join Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery because, as a plastic surgery practice, they can offer patients everything – the whole skincare journey from health and prevention to aesthetics.
Education and Experience
A native of Ohio, Dr. Wetli did her undergraduate studies at John Carroll University, where she had a double major in Biochemistry and Cell Molecular Biology and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She received her medical training at Wright State University. She graduated in 2017, completed an internship in general medicine at Kettering Medical Center, and completed her dermatology residency through Wright State University. During her residency, she participated in different clinical trials studying therapeutic options for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
Awards and Recognition
Among her many academic honors, Dr. Wetli received the Academy of Excellence Award for Scholarship and Leadership and was named Chief Resident.
She has published in Dermatologic Surgery, Cutis, and the American Journal of Dermatopathology. Dr. Wetli has given numerous presentations at the Ohio Dermatology Annual meetings and a highly regarded podium poster presentation at the 2019 American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Wetli is a Member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Ohio Dermatological Association.
Personal Life
Dr. Wetli is married to her husband, Eric. They are dog lovers and fans of Ohio State football. A dedicated runner, Dr. Wetli has completed full and half marathons. She enjoys skiing in places like Colorado. An adventurer at heart, Dr. Wetli likes to travel and experience other places and cultures.
Charitable Work
Dr. Wetli was involved with the figure skating Special Olympics in HS ’07 – ‘2013 and then again with roller skating while in Medical School.
She is active in her Church. St. Brigid of Kildare in Dublin.
